TEACHING STANDARDS
The Sydney Witch Camp group holds the expectation that a standard of practice be established for anyone wanting to teach at the Camps. This is both a competency standard and an ethical standard. It will be the business of the Witch Camps to present teachers properly accredited by the organising group.

Simon Goodey
along with Tim Hartridge started the Pagan Appreciation Society on the 18th May 1993. The meetings of the Society became known as the “Pagans in the Pub” meetings and ran over a number of years. A variety of side projects developed out of the Pagans in the Pub such as the "Fire and Feast" nights, and the "Pagan Nights" where many people cut there teeth in creating and running rituals at the Newtown Community Center.

Simon helped to organize and run the Eostre weekend retreats in 1994, 1995 and 1996. The 13th annual Eostre event, run in 1998, saw Simon along with Tim, Anthony Cook and Jonathan Breach conceived, developed and financed a special event – “The Crucible: self initiation through Jung, Alchemy and Magick". Simon has described this as "my most profound magical experience, and I am still in dept to Tim, Anthony and Jonathon for allowing me to be part of this transforming experience."

During 2007 to present, Simon has participated in a series of workshops titled “Celtic Gods and Goddess Workshops” run by Janine from the “Spheres of Light” in the Sutherland Shire. He has also worked along with the facilitators of Witch Moon retreat on the Witch Camp project and from which the project has emerged.
