Part One : the Fundamentals
A Short Guide to Participation in the Workshop

This Handbook contains an introduction to Witchcraft as well as a number of rituals. By familiarising yourself with the material in the Handbook you are taking your first steps toward the work we will undertake at the Witch Camp. Throughout the course you have a chance to work with others in discussing the theory and practice of Witchcraft.

Contained in the Handbook is an explanation of a number of terms and words you may not be familiar with. Having a thorough knowledge of the terminology will greatly enhance your experience of the workshop. A printed copy of Part One of this Handbook will be provided to everyone at the workshop, but you may choose to print a copy out from this link. Part Two contains the exercises for the workshop and will be given out at the Witch Camp.

Familiar Spirits
The Cat as the Witch's Familiar Spirit

The role of the Witch's animal-familiar spirit is often overlooked by many contemporary forms of Witchcraft. Employing our intuitive and instinctive senses, we will explore techniques that enlist the aid of spirit guides and our animal-familiar to work magick. This instinctive creature maybe personified in totemic images and evoked through the primal tools of the Witch - drum, dance and trance. More info...

Witch Camp Australia
A Workshop Experience with a Difference

The Witch Camp project comes from a desire to see the Australian Pagan Community develop through active involvement in exploring the diversity of many different pagan traditions. All our retreats and workshops have been specially created for the Witch Camp Project so that they support the principles and aims of the organisation.

These aims and principles include the Teach-the-Teacher program and the expectation that we each respect one another's experience. To help people new to pagan and magickal practices we also employ peer support or a 'buddy' system for participants. This helps to facilitate direct feedback. We have structured the material so you will be encouraged in a direct and personal exploration of your psychic experience.

The ritual practices have been designed to move us from individual experience into group work and back into personal experience for personal integration. Overall our teamwork will move us steadily toward the goals of the weekend of transforming theory into practice.
