Hilary Cinis – Tribal Bellydance Sydney

Hilary's performances as a soloist or working with other high quality dancers are described as "powerful", "mesmerising" and "elegant". They strive to be unique and exotic using movements based in bellydance and folk traditions, flavoured with modern performance interpretations and urban edges set to contemporary cross culture alternative sounds, traditional tribal rhythms or live musicians.

Bangarra Dance Theatre
one of the youngest and oldest of Australia's dance companies. Its living traditions go back at least 40 000 years but it also reflects the lives and attitudes of Indigenous peoples today. This unique company blends traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture with international contemporary dance influences to create a truly Australian dance language.

Kantanka
A performance company who produced a brilliant interpretation of "The Descent of Inanna into the Underworld". The company has produced theatre work based in classic text, strong physical skills and dynamic visual design.

Belly Dance Fire – Mara (Sydney)
Mara has been learning the art of belly dance since 1998. She has done workshops with renowned belly dancers and choreographers including Amera, Dounia, Caroline, Jrisi and Yasmina from Cairo. Her classical and elegant dance style varies from Egyptian Raqs Al-Sharqi, Greek Ciftetelli – ancient and modern, and Turkish mix.
She also utilises many props such as a live python snake, sword balancing, saiidi, zills (finger cymbals) and veil to compliment her dance.

Circus Solarus
Creating contemporary entertainment derived from the traditions of the comic folk ritual of Carnevale. More than 15 years experience in performances, parades, floats, festivals, decorations and mazes for events both in Australia and overseas.

Urban Turban
American Tribal Style Bellydance living in Sydney is a contemporary bellydance style. Performed and improvised with movements derived from traditional middle eastern dances and other styles such as flamenco and Indian. We dance to traditional middle eastern rhythms and also modern interpretations. Our costuming reflects the dancing style with an eclectic mix of traditional, modified and invented tribal pieces.

Abbey of Thelema

Set between 1920 to 1923, the film is based on the communal life propogating Thelemic mysticism started by Aleister Crowley. The Abbey of Thelema was located in Cefalu,Sicily and the commune dispersed when Crowley was deported from Italy by the Fascist Dictator Mussolini. The actual building still stands today.
The Plot: The Film begins with Aleister Crowley meeting Leah 'the sublime' Hirsig in New York City; they then move to Cefalu, Sicily to found the commune. Director Vincent Jennings said, "What is unique about this movie is the focus in on each character exploring their inner-workings, their desires, feelings, emotions, deprivations and pain."

Film documentary: The spirit culture of Tibet has always had two distinct faces. Impressive documentary with a lot of information about religious life among Tibetans living in northernmost India, a place so cut-off from outside world that traditions which are elsewhere eroded have survived there intact.

TVS Television Sydndey or Channel 31
Television Sydney is the first free-to-air television channel to launch in Sydney in more than 25 years.
Sometimes a bit provocative, many of the programs are made locally, by and for Sydneysiders, using styles where creative producers explore new formats.
The transmitter is at Gore Hill (old ABC) so coverage stretches the length and breadth of Sydney, from beyond Penrith in the West, to Palm Beach in the North and out past Cronulla and Campbelltown.

Denise is a talented pagan artist residing in Sydney. She has a strong Irish connection and heritage which regularly draws to her ancestral roots of Ireland.

Rachel Gaudry
"Orbiting a tranquil, mood-laden, unhurried musical ensemble was the strikingly aural delicacy" Revolver magazine. Rachel is singer song writer of pagan persuasions, who just happens to possess a voice of "angelic grace" according the The Los Angeles Times.

Mortal Rose
This unique Brisbane band describes their musick as a fusion of Pagan/Gothic/Rock drawn from their big six member line-up.

Spiral Dance
Formed in 1992, the band draws its musical centre from the core of their shared beliefs, interests and love of the mystical elements in life. Blending lean acoustic rock styles with lush Celtic harmony, the band creates an almost tangible musical aura that envelopes their audience.

Wendy Rule
Dark, sensual sonic theatre, her performances are a primal ritual brought to life. A uniquely individualistic sound.

Shinjuku Thief
Darrin Verhagen is a unique Australian composer of dark ambient music that manifest as Shinjuku Thief and his acclaimed collection "Witch Trilogy". He is also the director of Dorobo Records, an independent label of avante garde music (see above).

Katia Tiutiunnik
An Australian composer who received her PhD in music composition in 2002 and has an astounding array of works to her credit. Katia worked for a time with the Sydney based Dark Circle collective composing several inspired pieces based around her Goetic magickal experiences.
