SUMMARY

This is the place to begin your journey in group ritual work and psychic development. Designed to help guide those interested in experiencing the ritual practices of contemporary Witchcraft while gaining an appreciation of what a modern Witches' Coven is like. 

 

The course is held over 4 weekly workshops with each session running about 3.5hrs. The classes provide detailed theory and hands-on practical experience in group ritual. The workshop fee is $200 (repeat students $100) and is offered as the best way to make a serious start to Coven-based ritual work, taught in a down-to-earth style. The workshops are regularly scheduled, or once there are at least 5 particpants. Expressions of interest can be sent to Tim 'Ozpagan'.

SCHEDULE

The workshop moves participants from theory into ritual practice; each session begins with study followed by practical exercises. Introduced techniques for psychic develoment are taught, while questions are encouraged throughout each class.

 

WEEK 1
Theory session: A discussion on the differences between Wicca and Witchcraft; the contemporary expressions of the modern Craft; the influence of Alchemy and Ceremonial Magick; an introduction to the method of ritual in the Witch's Circle. Question time.
Ritual practicum: An introduction to the Middle Pillar (Chakra) practice part one; the use of Chi or psychic energy in ritual; a method of Circle casting using the Enochian elemental names; an introduction to the primal tools of trance, dance and drum; Hermetic magickal primer exercise; creation of thought-forms for improvised Spell-casting. Feedback time.

WEEK 2
Theory session: Jung, alchemy and magick; Hermetic Magick as internal Alchemy and its application in the Witch's circle; Rosaleen Norton's practice of Witchcraft and her methods; viewing a Coven sky-clad ritual in a 7 minute video documentary; what is the Witches' Cone of Power? Questions.
Ritual practicum: Using dance for power raising; part two of the Middle Pillar (Chakra) practice; the Circle casting; raising the 'cone of power' through dance; breath techniques for deepening trance. Feedback time.

WEEK 3
Theory session: Using Alchemy as a psychic tool of analysis; principles of Spellcraft and the techniques of Sympathetic Magick; fundamentals of Sigil Magick and constructing a Sigil for ritual; the Witches' use of alchemical processes in spells. Questions.
Ritual practicum: Completing the Middle Pillar (Chakra) ritual; casting the Circle; raising the Witches' cone of power for Sigil Magick spell-casting; incubation of the spell through alchemy. Feedback time.

WEEK 4
Theory session: Witchcraft and the ancient Mystery Cults; Pompeii and Dionysus; the central sacred Myth of contemporary Witchcraft; inner meaning of the Initiation rite; decoding sacred time and space in Wicca.
Ritual practicum: the Middle Pillar and Circle casting rite; techniques for deepening trance through using the Tarot to divine a Pathworking. Questions and feedback time.
