SUMMARY

For those ready to continue their magickal work or wanting greater depth, this course offers you a psychological understanding to the transformative power of working in Covens. It is a hands-on practical experience where you learn what it means to "own the Coven". The aim of the work is to demonstrate the progressive stages of training used in a Witches' Circle given expression in Alchemy and Mythology. The course sessions are both practical and psychic, and will help you to build upon your experiences while developing a better understanding of the psychic anatomy of a Witches' Coven.

The Training Circle is run as a 'closed' group and all participants must have first completed the “Casting the Witch’s Circle” workshop, before being invited to start.

Nuit's Veil covenWhat I experienced...was an extension of what I experienced during my re-dedication to the Craft...the ritual was absolutely beautiful, dark and dramatic. I really look forward to future rituals and want to extend my thanks to all who participated... The ritual inspired me to work with my Shadow self and has initiated a very interesting journey. THE AIM

The underlying goal of the course is to understand the psychological anatomy of the Self in order to appreciate how this affects our personal journey and the experience of group ritual. Navigating the way of the Psyche or 'mapping the Soul' takes us through an Initiatory journey in soul-making. Using both the time honoured techniques of the Craft and more than thirty years practical experience of Coven involvement, Tim 'ozpagan' Hartridge is the facilitator for your induction to the work of the Witch.

Ritual work is but one of the tools Witches have traditionally used for the purpose of these inner journeys toward Initiation. Ritual ‘clothes’ the Self and allows us to give expression to the Soul in ways which help us to re-connect to the archetype of the Witch-within. The course provides many practical applications of myth, Magick, dance and trance, using both traditional and modern Coven practices. It provides you with all the necessary tools in assisting you to work towards Initiation.

Drink from the Cup of Witches’ wine and remember ancient rites forgotten by time. Sup from the crimson chalice and be free from those who wish you malice. A coven blessing

The Training Circles are generally small which has the added advantage of keeping the sessions focused while allowing time for everyone to address their experiences. Participants must have completed the "Casting the Witch's Circle" workshop first before being considered for Coven training. Currently the Training circles are only run infrequently, just a few of times a year.

Witch LouiseLet all here know full well,
That none but Pagans here dwell.
We make the sign aright and averse,
A hex-mark that none can reverse.
We mark this round and cast this rune,
Upon this site, in the Dark of the Moon,
Our bare feet mark this witches' round,
And thus it becomes hallowed ground.

Nuit's Veil Coven is your host for this Training Circle course. The activities in the course provide an opportunity to discover what involvement and commitment is required of a Coven member. The course has been designed to provide a realistic understanding of why and how a Coven is run, as well as exploring the inner-work necessary for psychic development. The goal of the course is to provide the foundation material for those seeking a deeper experience and eventual Coven Initiation. In practical terms, the Initiation is acquired through membership of the Dark Circle Collective, a contemporary tradition running more than 25 years.

For a full discussion on the history of Dark Circle Collective see Liber NOX.
